How the sector is built.
Coffee is grown almost entirely by smallholders, most farming under two hectares.
Uganda leads the continent by export volume and ranks inside the global top ten.
Bimodal rainfall means fresh crop is available from somewhere in the country almost every month.
UCDA reports on a coffee year beginning in October; 2025/26 is the current cycle.
